Dev Channel has been updated to version 0.0.0.0. The Chrome browser version
is 12.0.733.0.
Strange, Google's servers started declaring version 0.0.0.0 of Chrome OS for both beta and dev-channel tonight (I deleted the beta post). Oh well, should not happen again since my script will ignore existing versions. Sorry for the false alarm folks.
Go figure you write an auto-poster and they screw up the version posting. My script got triggered too. My text message says version zero so I came poking around the blogs. :)
ReplyDeleteI see... it looks like they are creating the "stable" and "canary" build labels.
ReplyDeleteDon-J-Rude: I'm not seeing stable or canary channels on http://cros-omahaproxy.appspot.org. Are you? Post what you're seeing if you are...
ReplyDeleteJay
The version that loaded up for me has a completely new format. Doesn't mention the hardware labels at all. Here is the text:

Oh wait.. so sorry. That was the wrong URL! I had apparently clicked on http://omahaproxy.appspot.com/
ReplyDelete@Don-J-Rude: yes, but previously cros wasn't showing up as an OS at omahaproxy. Didn't notice it until you said something. They're definitely up to something here...
ReplyDeleteJay
I seem to remember seeing cros on omahaproxy at least a few days, or maybe a week ago. It looks to me like omahaproxy includes only the Chrome version, excluding the cros version. I presume because the omahaproxy page is for Chromium.
ReplyDeleteJay, so I can understand where you're coming from, why do you feel adding cros to omahaproxy implies behind-the-scenes action?
Somethings going on, my OS is shot! ( updating now )
