Beta Channel Update: 0.10.156.50
Beta channel has received it's first minor update to the 0.10 branch this evening bringing it up to 0.10.156.50. The Chrome Release Blog has nothing up yet but they should update sometime soon with details of exactly what's fixed. Oddly enough, with the last dev release being pulled, this leaves the current beta channel release ahead of the current dev channel release. I'm sure Google will remedy that situation pretty quick but if you're on dev channel, missed 0.11 last night and are jealous of beta channel, you can always drop back to beta channel, grab this update then switch back to dev to be ready for 0.11 when Google deems it safe to try again.

ReplyDeleteThis script reports that the latest version is 156.50.
I have the .46, i try to update and it reports i am up to date!
Which is weird, considering that we know that the latest is .50 and NOT .46!
@Patel and @CybeRNerO: You need to go to Wrench -> About Chrome OS -> More Info and switch back to beta channel. Then do the Check for updates thing a few dozen times and you should get 0.10.156.50 offered. Once it's installed and you've rebooted you can switch back to dev channel so that you're ready once Google re-releases the 0.11 update.

That "a few dozen times" trick did the job :P
ReplyDeleteI wonder why it didn't find the update on the first click though!
@CybeRNerO: Because they roll the updates out slowly so only one in ten checks (or something like that) to the Google server will respond with the update being available.
