Not sure if anyone else has seen this...

Two-finger scrolling is very sporadic, mostly doesn't work. But after a lot of trial-and-error I discovered a solution that works every single time:

TOUCH A PORT

wtf? Simply touching the VGA or ethernet ports (the metal part) enables perfectly smooth two-finger scrolling. This tells me that there is a grounding problem, which lines up with people who also report problems only when on battery power (because the power connection also grounds the device). Not sure what can be done about this. I'll let you know if I discover a more permanent solution.Glennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18211464970485630320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1849709720667465506.post-10286346533967877762013-04-05T22:04:33.987-04:002013-04-05T22:04:33.987-04:00Thanks SD for the tip. So to get the mic working in every application under chr, we have to plug something (headphones or speakers) into the headphone jack, turn up all the volumes in alsamixer and then start the desired app that uses the mic? Can your patched ALSA be downloaded as a package to just update a system that is affected by this, without the need to keep something plugged in the headphones jack? It's a lot of work for relatively little gain, but if you're interested at all in running 32-bit linux on your C7, see http://goo.gl/KJhXT for more info.Barry S.
